The Confederation of Swedish Enterprise and The Confederation of Danish Industries estimate that ESS will become a dynamic centre for innovation, strengthening European attractiveness and competitiveness in a globalised world. Therefore, they see ESS as an investment in future competitiveness and economic growth.
The competitiveness, as a result of locating biotechnology companies in the cross-border life science cluster Medicon Valley, is especially expected to increase thanks to the bioscientific applications of ESS. An area where both the region and the entire country are the frontline.
